My parents-in-law left about an hour ago, and I'm completely exhausted after working this week and playing hostess, but also quite happy with the visit. The animals (for the most part) got along just fine, and Mini didn't make any moves for the door. If anything, by the second day, she was acting as if Roxanne was more of a nuisance to her routine than a threat.
We had relatively good weather for Max's parents and were able to enjoy an afternoon at the Grenoble Christmas market in the winter sun. They also came to visit me at work one day in the museum and it was the opportunity for Max to check out my new place of employment as well (and meet some of my curious colleagues!). We squeezed in another visit with the dog behavioural specialist (more on that in another post), and ate and drank more than we all should have!
All in all, it was a very pleasant week in good company, and Max was delighted to spend time with his family. There really is nothing more important than family. I'm quite excited to see mine in just about a month!
I'll leave you with some recent pics. I posted quite a few of the Christmas market yesterday, but not of Max's parents. I always ask people first if it's ok for me to publish photos of them on my blog, and since Max's parents don't know I have a blog (and I'd prefer they didn't!), I won't post any of them. Click on individual pictures to enlarge.
Happy weekend everyone!

| Part of Grenoble's Christmas market. We went in the afternoon during the week, so it wasn't too busy (unlike last Saturday evening when I went with Max and a friend). |
 |
| One of many pictures that Max and I have taken of eachother in public transportation. We have pictures like this from the airport bus in Iceland, the Canary Islands, the Paris metro, and now, the Grenoble city bus :) Also? Max is on holidays and has decided to give up shaving until he goes back to work. |
 |
| From the safety of the kitchen table, the kitties decided to observe this strange new creature roaming around their hood. |
 |
| Kitty bums! |
 |
| I made a raclette dinner last night for Max and his parents, and Mini decided to take over the empty raclette machine box. Later, she would take a swipe at Roxanne who saw nothing coming. |
 |
| I saw this green, wasabi flavoured raclette cheese at the grocery store and had to try it! The taste isn't that bad actually, but the bright green colour kind of put me off. Max loved it...no surprise there. That man will eat anything. |

| A quick snap from my balcony this morning. It has finally started to snow at the higher altitudes and the mountains are extra beautiful covered in fresh, white snow :) |

Like the public transport pics. You survived in-laws. I'm impressed. Hope things start looking up for Pinch. Did you check out any herbal dog meds? So jealous you're going home! I wish I were packing my suitcases right about now...
Love the Christmas market! Wish Americans would get with the program on those sorts of things. Glad to hear the in-laws' visit went so well and that Mini didn't have a nervous breakdown!
The snowy hills look gorgeous and I love the kitty bum shot (is that weird?)
The photos are gorgeous! But that wasabi-flavoured cheese.. No bueno. You are a brave woman for trying it! Did you get a new camera?
I cannot believe there is a wasabi-flavoured Raclette cheese, that is so very un-French!!
